Fatigue-the Loss Of Vitality:

Fatigue is a state of mind that can be defined as a temporary loss of strength and energy resulting from hard physical or mental work. Every person suffers from fatigue at some point of time or the other but it is more prominent in women. Some researchers believe that it is a disease of the mind. However some others believe that it does indeed have something to do with the physiology, since the body shows quite a few physical symptoms. In fact, it is believed that high-level fatigue is capable of causing genuine and disabled conditions. High-level fatigue is high in women of all ages, it is also found in children as young as seven and is commonest age in men is onset of twenty and mid forties.

Symptoms of fatigues:

Symptoms of fatigue are rather simple to notice. Usually the person feels excessively tired, so the person visits the doctor, but rarely gets diagnosed for fatigue. It is passing phase in most cases, but if high level fatigue is there, it need to be treated. Following are some of the common symptoms of fatigues:

* The person becomes imbalanced and temperamental.
* He experiences joint and muscular pain.
* Perpetual headache and irritability.
* He may suffer from mild insomnia and other sleep related disorders.
* Depression is experienced.
* The person becomes easily susceptible to illnesses and depression and anxiety disorders.
* Sometimes when a person is suffering from very high fatigue or chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) the changes can be more drastic like anemia, throat dysfunction and multiple sclerosis.
* In CFS one can suffer from liver diseases and irritable bowel syndrome.

Causes:

The researcher believe that causes of high-level fatigue are many, but most primarily they have been categorized into three. They are either genetically inherited, acquired through some illness or due to some sort of neurological abnormalities. Therefore it would not be surprising to see an entire family suffering from CFS. Neurological abnormalities could be triggered by some infections that would in turn infect the brain chemical transmitters and other nerves that affect the proper functioning of the metabolism and bodily functions. This would influence sleep, activity, temperature control, and blood pressure.

Fatigue management:

Most researchers believe that there is not drug invented yet that can cure regular fatigue, as it does not require medication to be driven away. They believe that it is psychological disorder and can be cured only by self-help techniques. For CFS there are some drugs assessed, namely Ampligen, Modafinil and hydrocortisone. These drugs should be taken under the supervision of the physician; they have to be taken in a defined sequence and with great deal of precautions.

Low-level fatigue can be cured with simple techniques, like meditation, following a proper diet and exercising on regular basis. Basically making an effort to live better can treat it.
